Is that good prize money Mike?mikefarquharson wrote:That's the Red Insure Cup First Round
Bit of a difference there Imp, it seems most likely that we knew we were going to get thrown out, the team was in a bit of a pickle so we tried some players out and practised penalties. For want of a better term we played a "competitive friendly" in the First round, unlike some of our feeder teams who think it's worth winning and cheat in the latter stages, we don't hold it in high regard.Imp wrote:A bit embarrassing after the stick that the other lot got last season!mikefarquharson wrote:Tom Cutts was ineligible to play IMP - We were waiting confirmation which I guess we now have. That's a great way of spinning it! I hope the club don't use it as a defence - could lead to a "Bringing the Competition into Disrepute" Charge!DB wrote:Bit of a difference there Imp, it seems most likely that we knew we were going to get thrown out, the team was in a bit of a pickle so we tried some players out and practised penalties. Let's face it we have played squad players and juniors in this competition in previous years, guess it's similar to the way the big teams treat the League cup. The game in question seemed to have helped greatly though, Tom slipped straight in and Kwasi put away a penalty. Controversial, but IMO a good decision
