It's been a week now and still no news from the club about a new boss? Is it because no news is good news? Are we looking closer to home and thinking of Fraser and Wally?

The silence is deafening

Ideally we need an experienced manager who can work with the present squad..have a good idea of players within the local area and knows a quality striker..mistake would be to have a manager with no contacts within semi pro football.

Can't see it being Fraser and wally ..wally certainly can't commit the time to the role..not sure about Fraser.
So who is available at the moment..obvious one is mark eaton ..we know he wants to come back but would Danny have him back..the other one that keeps coming up is the ex slough manager..bateman think his name was..also they have been a few manages that have left their roles recently..also pretty sure Keith Scott the ex leighton town manager is available ..his record not bad but do we have the budget for all these managers..

I'd love us to be able to attract a manger of Keith Scott or tony Bateman , but not sure it would happen , mark eaton been with us before but he over spent drastically last tine he was here ,
Not sure about Wally and Fraser to be honest

Looks odds on for a return of "the special one " to me, unless we have written off this season already, believe he's worked with at least eight of the current squad, knows everything about us. Get him in a room with the committee and let them all have a big row & see where we go from there. Don't think Steve Bateman could do it on our budget, seems to me he's a lover of senior players, don't think he'd be interested anyway. I've always thought Danny Edwards at Chalfont is decent, don't know where he lives but it looks like he's gone a bit flat, maybe a change might do him good.

Still nothing? Chatting to DB today, we reckon there will be an announcement on Tuesday so the new person can take training ready for the CSP game.

Where exactly do you advertise the position? The Job Centre? I want to know where these manager's jobs are advertised!

Well that's just daft , why would you not advertise manager position ? Sure there good managers out there at our level who would love a shot at turning our season around ,

I am expecting it before Tuesday tbh Jools.
Don't think we need to advertise.  I'm sure anybody with any interest in our league would certainly be aware that we are without a manager and if they didn't know, how clued up are they likely to be ?
With just a couple of clicks from the Who's Who page you can easily send a message to the Chairman, that's how I always apply anyhow.

I see according to our twitter we are out looking for players today, guess that must mean we are sticking with our current management team, as I'm sure any new manager would want to bring in his own players. Perhaps we might get a new Director of Football. Either way we must be due an announcement soon.

Don't hold your breath fellas, you could die waiting! The Chairman hasn't even advertised the job yet, nearly 2 weeks after the vacancy was created, which I find a bit strange.

Just out of curiosity who is the "special one".....?
Can't see Jose dropping down to this level......!

With all the gossip mongering that goes on in this league, I wouldn't think you need to advertise the managers post.....!!

Like it DB....lol
I am under the impression that he had the contacts, but was not up to speed on the footballing tactics side...!
Any views on this....?

I have no doubt that Mark has the contacts, and he likes to play attacking football, believe I've seen worse tactical decisions in the two years since Mark than the two with him.
I don't have a problem with Jon or Wally taking the reins either but we need to announce something, as I think talking a decent player into coming to you when your near the bottom of the table as an acting manager might prove to be extremely difficult.
