Don't think they'll be the last bud, based on yesterday!
Gone are the days when you pull up trees to impress a new boss! As job interviews go, not the best!!

You know that will happen. All managers have favourite players that follow them around. Over a period of time they get to know them, build rapport and know who they can work with and trust. Burnell is just the first of those coming in.

That, perhaps was part of CF's downfall, he hadn't built up such a network. It will be interesting to see his role at the club in the future now Bateman is in charge. For sure I don't expect to see him featuring in the matchday squad again.

Have to agree with you there TG, unfortunately if some of them don't get another opportunity they will only have themselves to blame.

Playing devils advocate, maybe some of the players who didnt perform for CF,could for Mr Bateman if they got different squad members around them and a change in systems

If DB, more like the majority of the current squad just fulfilling the quota for games and waiting for 7 days and players to get here! Lots of changes in the week me thinks, IMP has it spot on with players following managers around, think old Slough players could be on radar!

And with yesterday's result it seems the players, regardless of the man at the helm, are not good enough or are that low on confidence it will be sooner rather than later as I'm sure everyone is aware Batemans CV Isn't bad and he won't suffer results like that for long!!

Brian Haule scored a few after being shown the door by FC so was it a different system for BH? Perhaps a new system here might show one or two of the present squad in a better light e.g.!Price in his proper position not striker

Hear Hear Jooles, I hope we get a squad were the players are picked for the level of skills to play in there given positions in the team, not trying them in different position. Saying that the odd utility player like Kevin Mealer is very handy at this level. Welcome to the club Mr. Bateman, lm sure you will use your vast experience at this level and higher too push the club onward and upward, on behalf of the Old Plums at the club. Ps.Big thanks to all involved in keeping the team afloat you know who you are.
