Off the back of a great performance on saturday i really think we should be looking at getting a run of wins now. Ashford tonight, and then Beconsfield on staurday. if we show the same effort and drive we did on saturday then i think we can do both of those teams.

however its worth pointing out that Ashford, whilst at the bottom of the table, did just pick up a point against Royston on saturday, which is impressive in itself. so they may also be coming into tonight with an improved mentality too. Our lot cannot afford to think ashford will be easy, we must go into this game the same way we did with chalfont. im sure that fact is not lost on Mr Bateman either. im confident he'll send the team out wanting the three points.

COME ON YOU MOLES!!!  cheers

Mike, jools, or whoevers on twitter, keep the updates coming on the twitter feed ill be refreshing every 30 secs. i wish i was there tonight.

0-0 against a team that had lost 12 out of 13 at home this season looks a bit of a shock on paper, what was the full story?

The Full story Jools was that we were under the cosh the whole game and we were fortunate to get a point. The defence were a rock with Ben being outstanding. Tom was just as good but apart from that we were inept. Ashford thankfully were wasteful and we were generally woeful. I have seen worse though which was encouraging

They had 3 points from a possible 33 home points coming into the game. On paper an away win was expected but as other have said at least a points a point

thats my feelings too. i'll take any points, from anywhere. but cant help feeling we should have got more.

fair play to ashford though, thats 2 draws from 2 games in a row for them now.

Where are Jerome Anderson,Sean Sonner and Stuart Swift? All players that will create goals out of nothing. Stuart's a free kick specialist,Jerome has pace and tricky with the ball and Sean run's his nuts off and puts himself about against opposition defenders.

Aylesbury seem to be struggling to field, even as sub's,your better players.Perhaps this is to balance the books?

You have to say, though. it's a poor result and performance against a lowly Ashford side, that on paper you really should be beating.

Still, look on the bright side, least you didn't lose like my lot last night !

The Ashford team were well up for the fight. Their crowd, albeit very small were very vocal and encouraging towards their team. The result that had at the weekend against Royston seems to have ignited a new vigour or probably a last chance saloon fight. Don't get me wrong, they were poor but what's worrying was that we dropped down to their level of play and didn't seem to know how to up our game to combat it. We did have fight though which was good to see. It has to be due to lack of match practice and continuity which over the next few weeks, with the influx of games should see us gel and push our way to safety. Onwards and upwards
