im in work today beaming from ear to ear, so proud to be a mole, one team in aylesbury - theres onlty one team in aylesbury!
so on the pitch
it wasnt exactly a classic, but i think it was an exciting battle none the less. and the game was won by the team with more fight and desire. i think utd fans will feel disapointed that their team didnt have more bite. the recent run of form for both teams seemed to be evident in the attitudes last night, we are on a roll and our tails were up, utd being on a bad run just couldnt seem to get going and barely responded to going 2, then 3 goals down. utd's goal should have been the wake up call for them to turn things on but they just didnt. as bad as it sounds i think we were very lucky that this game was postponed twice, as we simply didnt have this positive energery on the pitch during the dark months of decemeber through to february. the result could have been quite different.
off the pitch,
we were amazing! celebrating those goals was absolute pandamonium, i gave myslef a stitch going mental on the first two going in! brilliant noise and singing from all behind in the drum end. My sister and her fella certainly enjoyed their first visit to Haywood Way.
I didn't think much of the d*cks ageing and largely bald support though. considering how many they had on the edge of the main stand for the first half it was only a few of them in the seats actually jumping and making noise. during the second half, the bunch of middle aged blokes who came and stood sheepishly next to us in the drum end were a wierd bunch. could'nt string a single song together proplerly and for some reason decided to throw some orange stuff on the pitch. was good fun winding up the pony tailed 'gent' though.
amazing night all round, im going to enjoy this one for a while. thanks to all the players and the club as whole! everyone should be proud
