Well done to Richard and the team, three clean sheets in a row and a good win tonight.

Looks like this squad may have promise.

It's good they are starting to get results as first half of season was bad for them as was getting mullered every week. long may it continue that results have improved and Hopefully they can go on a winning run now

Be even better if we had a few more supporters come down on a Monday night. Next home game is 4th April, vs Uxbridge

Yeah agree with Ryan its business end of the season and games thick and fast so it's hard to get down.
But saying that did not see the game advertised on Twitter . If it was I'd retweet it for the club

Itching to get down and watch a match. The worry for me is without the next step up where are the players going next when they are too old.

I think this is an ongoing problem that we have, I would suggest we have an ADL team with an age limit and they would play on a Saturday against grown men, the facility needs are very low as would be the overheads and we have plenty of space on the field for them,  another block of changing rooms might be useful, maybe a portacabin inside the perimeter fence by the little gate, although I think a lot of teams change in their cars.
It would also give us an opportunity to develop relationships with local clubs (and scout them.) Only downside I can see is the parking.
I have no idea of the standard of football the premier offers, how does it compare to say SSML div 1/2 anyone know ?

Depends, upper teams in the Prem the gap is obviously closer to SML as most will have a couple of players that could play that standard. Issue with having an ADL side would be that players cannot play in the ADL if they are registered for a club in our level.
Would love us to have a link to the ADL as that is our footballing community and we as a club should do more to engage it. Just not sure in which capacity we could help it in!

Looks like it's an issue for the ducks as well as I don't think they have a reserves either.Think it's a mixture of cash/player commitment.

I've spent the afternoon pondering https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5R8XHrfJkeg
I was just chatting s*£t as usual. Rolling Eyes
We have some of our former u18's playing in the Hellenic,Spartan and even the lower end of this league, I don't believe you can't get that sort of experience playing reserve football, if and when they are good enough I'm sure we will ask them back.
So no reserves for me, I've changed my mind, it's was a silly idea, sorry for wasting your eyeballs.

Agree at this level I'd personally scrap reserves sides . for the financial side of things it's pointless . scrap it and be done .

Could we loan some of the players to the ducks to get that experience? Lower standard and will be able to easily get a game

Fair point although issues with 7 day approaches etc make it an admin nightmare

An U21 league made up of all of the local clubs would be the best way forward - as with pro U21 leagues each team should be allowed to field max of 3 over 21's if they have first team players needing game time. Clubs do not have to use their main pitches if they do not want to (their choice) so can keep costs down but would act as a good stepping stone between Allied Counties and Southern / Spartan league.

Matches could be Saturday lunchtime KOs so clubs can even combine entry fees for U21 and First team home games when they are both at home on the same day if they want to, would give younger players exposure of playing in proper stadiums then infront of a few people and keep costs down

Unfortunately you can't loan to teams in the same league, so it wouldn't work this season.
As amusing as it is, they do have 4 or 5 former junior players of ours on their books, I don't see to many coming the other way,  I'm not sure who they have produced in recent years.
