Overall I thought it was a good game, entertaining and a point was a fair result. Home team will be very happy. Feel we need a nippy striker who can cause a bit panic.

Home fans were great, bit of banter.

I thought we were pretty crap/brain dead if I'm honest Jools, did we manage five shots on target? I don't think our style of football is at all suitable to these type of pitches. Lets just hope we are still in the running when they firm up. Rolling Eyes

Dont think the state of the pitch helped our style of play.I noticed passes being well short ,as the ball caught in the mud. Missed quite a few decent chances though

I know things aren't perfect. For the first time in ages, we stood near Steve and Fraser's dugout and I could hear the things they were saying. They know things aren't perfect too.

I did not think it was a bad performance to be fair ,
St Ives were physical and out muscled us on a crap wet pitch ,
Only things that I found strange was why bring price off when Lynton goss was having a mare and Brian haule wasn't at the races either yet played full 90mins,
Win our game in hand on Tuesday and it will make things look better.
Play offs are still in our hands

Not knowing the full facts on players fitness etc, it can be rash to criticise about such things as substitutions but from my experience of watching Steve Bateman's teams at Slough, substitutions were never one of his strengths, although to his credit he always had decent options on the bench, but you always found it difficult to predict what changes he would make and at times, were bamboozling. So your comment here doesn't surprise me !

I was a bit negative yesterday but I'm sure we will muddle through. I'm just disappointed we can't adapt better to the conditions, we can't pass on these surfaces, yet we try and play like we're on the astro.
