Looking at the player profiles I see we have a new defender NBH, one of Steves former players at STFC, standing at  8' 11" with legs like oak trees he's going to be a great addition cheers

Just wondering what are we getting from having a player join for 1 month..don't exactly gives the players he replacing confidence unless we have an injury.. or has someone been told their days are numbered! Should we not be on the look out for a replacement instead of bringing a loanee in..

Doesn't Kyle work some weekends? Plus Fryer has been injured, we ended Monday night with Logie at CB, he hasn't played all season. Suggest it's an area we need back up.

I don't think we are looking for a replacement, with everyone fit and without juggling the team around we have three centrebacks plus Logie, Bens not right either. Steve may well have signed him with a fully fit squad regardless as he brings a different option, a shrewd bit of business in my book, even if he doesn't play.

What a great position we find ourselves in now to judge if he was a hit or a miss.
Played 5 W3 L1 D1 R1  Y1  GA3
Three clean sheets, most consecutive this season.

In the first game at Brentwood he wasn't bad, partly to blame for the goal imo, you may have been right about the jet lag thing Coach, it could have also been something to do with the Aussie season finishing in August  Laughing

A yellow card at Royston, I didn't go, with Kyle and Ben out everyone told me he played very well alongside Fryer, it was suggested to me that he was in contention for MoM.

Northwood saw his home debut and partnering Fryer again in a tough game on a dodgy surface I thought he was kept quite busy and played well until he picked up a red for an elbow, I think we all knew that we hadn't signed a choirboy.

Godalming at home alongside Ben, tough surface again but played well. He may have unnesec   needlessly put the ball out on a couple of occasions but I'm a big believer in the phrase "if in doubt kick it out" for defenders, guess that shows common sense. A tidy game with no problems.

Wantage and with Fryer again, solid enough I guess the early goal conceded could have been down to many things, adjusting their tickle tackle, stood on the heels, perhaps  Weathers may have felt he could have done better too.

I'n the condition he is in I'd be very happy for him to take up one of our two cbs for the rest of the season.
Taking into consideration that he's on holiday and is probably out visiting friends and relatives and eating and drinking too much, turning out for us has been a sterling effort from him . A hit for me  cheers

While I'm trying to suggest that he has brought clean sheets it could be down to Fryer, he's cleared a few off the line, I think there is a lot more from him to come.

Apologies if you feel you've all been Bensoned  Laughing

Only seen him the once on sat and I was not impressed.Looked like he had not seen a football before at times..Yes row z ain't a bad option when under pressure but he was putting it out intentionally.Did wonder if his shorts were too tight and restricted movement as his thighs were like tree trunks..
Also thought if he was stranded one on one with a decent forward he would be left on his bum.
Has certainly helped us when we have been short though.

So I'll put you down as a reluctant hit  Smile
I'm a tad disappointed you're the only one thats looked at him, I guess most people are too busy playing on phones to actually watch the games Wink
