With a bit more than a month left of the season the title battle looks to be between Aylesbury and local rivals Chalfont St Peter and Tring Athletic. Aylesbury are two points down on Chalfont St Peter but with a game hand (being played this week) could go top. Tring are just about clinging on in there but need both the Moles and Saints to slip up a couple of times before the end of the season. I thought now would be a good time to look at the remaining fixtures for the clubs (the number by them indicates that club's current league position):
Chalfont St Peter:
30/03/2010 Welwyn Garden City (A) 22nd
03/04/2010 St Margaretsbury (H) 14th
06/04/2010 Hillingdon Borough (A) 20th
10/04/2010 Colney Heath (H) 5th
17/04/2010 Leverstock Green (A) 9th
24/04/2010 Broxbourne Borough (H) 7th
01/05/2010 Royston Town (A) 4th
Aylesbury:
30/03/2010 Haringey Borough (A) 21st
01/04/2010 Kentish Town (H) 19th
03/04/2010 Biggleswade United (H) 16th
06/04/2010 Hertford Town (A) 15th
10/04/2010 Hillingdon Borough (A) 20th
17/04/2010 Welwyn Garden City (H) 22nd
24/04/2010 Leverstock Green (H) 9th
01/05/2010 Langford (H) 17th
Tring Athletic:
30/03/2010 Hertford Town (H) 15th
03/04/2010 Colney Heath (A) 5th
10/04/2010 Broxbourne Borough (H) 7th
13/04/2010 Hanwell Town (H) 11th
17/04/2010 Kingsbury London Tigers (A) 10th
24/04/2010 Brimsdown Rovers (H) 18th
01/05/2010 Hatfield Town (A) 13th
Aylesbury look like they have the easier run in for the season with only one club inside the top half and playing all the current bottom three, plus 5 games at home. Chalfont St Peter have tricky matches against Colney Heath and going away to Royston Town on the final day of the season. Tring have a majority of matches at home and a difficult match next week away to Colney Heath. Both Aylesbury and Tring have cup ties not listed there, Aylesbury's as yet unscheduled Premier Division Cup Final against Hanwell Town and Tring's Hertfordshire FA Charity Shield v. Hoddesdon Town on the 5th April.
