AYLESBURY F.C. 4 V CHESHAM UTD 3
3rd Qualifying rnd F.A.CUP

History was made at Haywood way on Saturday as Aylesbury F.C. beat a tough Chesham side to go into the last qualifying round of the F.A. CUP.
Who knows what the draw could bring, Luton Town or Oxford, but the crowd of just fewer than 500 wont mind either way.
Aylesbury took the lead in the 14th minute with a penalty taken by Craig Henney after some great pressure in the Chesham box, which also resulted in Chesham's Mark Lambert getting a yellow card. With Aylesbury scoring, it seemed to wind up Chesham in this derby game. Steve Wales got a yellow card before Chris Bangura equalized on the 35th minute making it 1-1 and game on.
The game was getting a little feisty and Aylesbury's Ben Stevens was yellow carded for an over-zealous challenge, due in no small part to the Aylesbury defence being tormented by Chesham’s Leon Archer.
On 39 minutes however, after some wonderful play by Aylesbury’s Gareth Price, he managed to slip the ball though to Craig Henney to hit a shot into the right hand corner, making it 2-1.
This was how it stayed until half time.

The second half had only just got going when on the 47th minute, that man Craig Henney scored his hat-trick goal and Aylesbury’s third from a corner.
Then, would you believe it one minute later, after some more great play by Gareth Price, he whipped the ball across the Chesham box only for Danny Gudgeon to put though his own net.
With the score at 4-1 most people were thinking game over, but Chesham scored again on the 49th minute and it was Chris Bangura getting his brace. Then came a spell of substitutions for Chesham and another near miss by Craig Henney.
With Chesham pushing forward to try and get back into the match, instead of goals they started to get yellow cards with Danny Burnell and Darryl Cox being the culprits for fouling.
Kierian Schmidt then came on to replace Greg Williams to add some pace and not long after, Craig Henney came off for Nathan Graham.
Yet more bookings followed with a yellow to Stuart Maynard of Aylesbury and Michael Bardle of Chesham.
The Aylesbury back line was taking a hammering with Steve Smith making a double save and man-of-the-match Matt [butcher] Hayward having to work extra hard.
As the game was drawing to it’s climax, yet more card’s flowed with Aylesbury's Nathan Graham and Chesham's Danny Talbot getting a yellow each for trying to head butt each other.
A second booking and subsequent Red Card for Chesham’s Darryl Cox, who chopped down Ben Stevens and was lucky not to have been off long before that, followed soon after.
With time almost up, in the 94th minute, Chesham’s Leon Archer wormed his way passed the Aylesbury defence to get a well deserved goal and Chesham’s 3rd but the final whistle followed soon after and the party began.
