Burnham away tongiht - B&B Cup

so whats everyones opinions about the B&B cup tonight?

i know we do put everything we can behind the FA cup and the FA Trophy - both the prestige and the prize money speak for them selves, but for me the B&B cup is a bit of an unknown quantity (along with the red insure cup)

do we treat tonight as a means of ironing out the problems displayed against Uxbridge, maybe try a new player in a new position or two..... or do we go into tonight focused on winning and progressing through the competition?

I think we should play our strongest team and try to progress as it's a local comp, as for red insure cup play a weak squad as it's pointless

As you say after Saturday's performance it would be good to see a strong side getting back to winning ways

I'm not a lover of either the B&B or the Red Ins cup. Tonights game has taken presidence over the league game against Daventry, if we progress we lose more days when we could be playing league matches. I think we all know we may lose a game or two to the weather so I would suggest squad players and nippers.

truthfully just not bothered about Red Insure or B&B Cups, it costs you money. The only areas i'm interested in are the league, FA Cup & FA Trophy. Not sure what sort of side Burnham had out but I just can't get excited either way

oh well - lets look forward to an important one against bedford on saturday - with last nights league results and our lack of result against uxbridge this is very important for us to keep in check with the playoff postitions

I've just read that we missed a penalty, who was that?  I'm pleased we got beat, glad that Logie and Bri  wasn't involved and Rudd,Gordon and Davis got 90 mins, young Tomlin had a go and Warro got another game under his belt. The team have lost two on the trot and on Saturday we are playing 3rd from bottom who have let in 29 goals.  Don't miss this game, I feel the lads have got something to prove.

agree with DB I think the lads will certainly want to prove something and get back to winning ways ,

I'm glad I went to the game as it was quite entertaining. The 1st half should have seen us go in with at least a 3-1 lead. We were by far the more dominant team. Yes there was a pen miss by Lynton but that happens and the response from the team was a positive one. The 2nd half was somewhat different. We lost our way and Burnham stepped up a gear to punish us. One thing that was noticeable was the desperate need for a " fox in the box". We should have put away at least 4 tomes but we continually tried to walk the ball in the net, over elaborate in front of goal and inability to finish off any balls hit across the goalmouth. There keeper was on form but all in all we were poor in attack. Like I said glad I went and came away not too bothered the way we played as there were very good moments that will certainly test teams in our division.

I have been saying for weeks we need a fox in the box striker, but no one believed me so thank u pucky , glad your seeing what I have been saying,

We create lots of opportunities which is great but a fair amount of opportunities we don't convert especially around 6 yard box ,
Hopefully this is something that will be addressed sooner rather than later

I think your right though Daz, he probably is a mole in the hole but it's one he has dug for himself. Obviously not a player that impresses Mr Bateman and to be honest has not really impressed the majority either.
